A major new investment by Air Flow and Nippon Gases inaugurated yesterday – June 15, 2022 – in the port of Antwerp. Airflow has co-invested close to €1m in a large capacity (400t) Liquid Argon storage tank, installed on the Nippon Gases facility in Lillo at the Port of Antwerp. Related to this co-investment, Nippon Gases Belgium and Airflow have confirmed a long term agreement for the supply of Liquid Argon for overseas markets. Pierre Fiat, Airflow Group MD commented « thanks to this investment, Airflow will significantly improve the performances of their argon exports. This storage will allow us to adjust our logistics to the constraints of international shipping and organise even better our “just in time” transport. It’s a recognition in the growth potential of our international markets. This investment is in line with our sustainable development targets as having this storage capacity right in the Port of Antwerp will considerably reduce our liquid argon movements by road.” Airflow is an industrial group with offices in Singapore, Houston, Antwerp, Algeciras and Marseille, specialising in the transport and storage of compressed and cryogenic gases. With 40 employees it achieves an annual turnover of €22m.”
